If you have been waiting for the ideal time to upgrade to a rugged SUV, that time may be arriving soon. Mazda has recently released exciting news about its new Mazda CX-50 crossover SUV. This model, slightly larger than the popular Mazda CX-50, has brilliantly bold capabilities, modern styling, and a slew of exceptional features.
Two powertrains will be available for you to choose from. The base engine is a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine that delivers 187 horsepower to you. The upgraded engine is a turbo four-cylinder that generates 250 horsepower. Both of these options come with standard all-wheel drive and six-speed auto transmission. A hybrid variant is already in the works as well.
The exterior style of the 2023 Mazda CX-50 is stunning. It shows off some modern Mazda design language elements that you may already love. This includes a tapered hood that flows into an expansive grille. The grille integrates with stretched LED headlights. From bumper to bumper, lower-body molding gives the Mazda CX-50 a rugged look. This look is defined by large skid plates in the front and rear, squared-off wheel wells, and molded LED tail lights. Select trims have raised roof rails, a luggage rack, a matte black hood, and other exciting features.
Inside, you will find seating for five adults and modern, clean styling. Some trims have leather upholstery with two-tone coloring and accent stitching. The top of the dashboard has an 8.8-inch infotainment system screen. The interface for the climate control system sits well below the screen in the heart of the center stack. The console holds a gear selector stick, buttons for the heated seats, rotary knobs for drive modes, and more.
