2020 MAZDA CX-30 vs 2020 MAZDA CX-5

Serving Farmington Hills, MI

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is a new addition to our large selection of beautiful models at Suburban Mazda of Farmington Hills. This compact crossover SUV sits immediately below the popular Mazda CX-5 crossover, so you understandably want to know how they rate against each other. Both of these models have two rows of seating and are in the same automotive class. However, the base MSRP for the Mazda CX-30 is noticeably lower than the Mazda CX-5's price. This is one of many differences that you need to know about before you pick out your next SUV from our inventory.

The new Mazda CX-30 is designed to zip through traffic with exceptional power and agility. It receives 186 horsepower from a Skyactiv®-G 2.5-liter gas engine. Optional or available mechanical features include off-road traction assistance, G-Vectoring Control Plus, all-wheel drive, and other gear. The 2020 Mazda CX-5 offers two powertrains across five trims. Its base powertrain is comparable to the Mazda CX-30's powertrain. The top engine in the Mazda CX-5 is a 2.5-liter Dynamic Turbo gas engine that delivers 250 horsepower. Most of the Mazda CX-5's accompanying mechanical features are comparable to those in the Mazda CX-30.

The 2020 Mazda CX-30's design is defined by smooth, undulating surfaces and thick lower-body molding that spans from end to end. The chrome-outlined grille is placed on a flat front end, and the beautiful LED headlights show off many design details for an artistic touch. The exterior of the 2020 Mazda CX-5 has comparable contouring and flow from front to rear, and it also carries a flat nose with a chrome-accented grille. However, the LED headlights are dramatically narrow and elongated. The lower-body molding is substantially thinner, and the hood and roof have more height as you gaze at the SUV's profile.

While these two beautiful crossover SUVs stand apart in their style and capabilities, they carry many of the same features. However, the optional and standard features are unique from trim to trim. Some of these features are in-car wireless internet connectivity, remote vehicle access via a smart device app, a MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment system, a floating touch display screen, a Commander Control function, an active driving display feature, smart device app connectivity, a power liftgate, a dual-zone auto climate control system and other equipment. The Mazda CX-5 adds a Bose premium sound system, memory functions for the driver's seat, and a few other items in select trims.

Our Suburban Mazda of Farmington Hills associates will not be satisfied until you have selected the crossover SUV that you can fully appreciate for years to come. While the 2020 Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-5 crossover SUVs have many similar traits, their differences must be understood before you can finalize your selection.
