It all starts at the heart of the Mazda6 -- the Skyactiv engine. The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder puts 184 horsepower to the wheels. The SKYACTIV power plant works in harmony with a light, strong body and two engaging transmission choices -- the SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic and the SKYACTIV-MT 6-speed manual. SKACTIV-Vehicle Dynamics uses torque vectoring and other clever techniques to shift power and torque for optimum cornering dynamics and seamless communication between car and driver.
Mindful Efficiency
Mazda's SKYACTIV engine technology uses a very high compression ratio (compressing the fuel/air mixture) to wrench as much energy as possible out of fuel. This makes for both improved performance and efficiency. The 2.5-liter SKYACTIV engine in the Mazda 6 can reach up to 35 mpg on the highway.

The 2017 Mzada6 comes in three trims: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring, starting at $22,995, $25,245, and $30,695 respectively. Each comes standard with the 2.5-liter SKYACTIV engine and a range of safety and comfort features. Sport comes with basic features while Touring and Grand Touring come with successive safety and cosmetic upgrades.
